Delhi quartzite stone is sandstone that has been metamorphosed. Unlike sandstone, quartzite breaks through, not around, the quartz grains, producing a smooth surface instead of a rough and granular one. Quartzites are snowy white, green & black. Its use for countertops in kitchens is expanding rapidly. It is harder and more resistant to stains than granite. Quartzite stones are originally sandstone that under unthinkable heat and pressure, many kilometers deep inside the earth, are fused with quartz crystals. Delhi Quartzite Stone is very attractive.
